Edinburgh Photos Jan 2014: Final Edits

Another post which is long overdue, albeit not as far stretched out as last week's Ghana episode...

This year's January consisted of a weekend trip to Edinburgh, Scotland. 4 of us laydeezz ventured northward, to embrace the brisk, chilling winds, endless rain, THANK F*CK SOME REAL GREENERY AND FRESH AIR (compared to London) and whiskey. Other trip ingredients included a branded dinner in The Missoni hotel, cocktails galore and burning up our thigh muscles bracing the the undulating Scottish landscape. The castle had to be THE coldest moment of our lives, so much so that it got highly undesirable after about 10 minutes up there and I began to weep/scowl...nevertheless, the shortbreads were great, as was the fabulously and creatively merchandised WHITE STUFF flagship store. They had changing rooms that were entered through various wardrobes and constructed around family home and popular external spaces, for example: a little girl's and boy's bedroom, the larder, a bathroom, a games room, a disco room, a jungle and so on.

OH and we did a bus tour, with a gently informative, broad Scottish voice narrating in our ears for an hour. It still it was raining, but the bus had a roof. (yay) I digress. These are my favourite images all iPhone taken and edited on my computer.
