I have been advised twice now from the opposite sex, to go with a more slick, understated Nike training shoe, with subtlety in the colour ways, thus a bigger emphasis on the style. However there's something about this particular genre of Nike shoe I can't fully accept yet. It's still a bit foreign for me and opposed my 'stick to what you know' prophecy (Oooo change). It's hard to explain, but we can't be best friends just yet. There's more growing we both have to do together. On the other hand, they look like they're ridiculously comfortable and reliable- the type of shoe that 'once you go black you'll never go back' kinda thing. (No offence intended there at all)
Opposing this argument, the confident Nike Air Max always catches my tempted eye, with it's bold shape and exotic colour schemes. They are so RAHHH HELLO LOOK AT ME and I quite like that. However not to the extent that I want the all singing, all dancing versions that look like they came from a circus kit. No I mean they are generally exciting shoes, but i wouldn't purchase the ones at the louder end of the scale. (Hm, no I'm pretty sure I wouldn't...this one pair below being the exception if I had the balls and complimentary wardrobe to pull them off)
I digress. Basically in summary I crave the Nike Air Max's that have a visually strong, descending diagonal, understate the puffy sole look (sometimes with larger transparent bubbles,ew) and sport a rather classic palette. Aka these navy beauties below- the most expensive-shock.
The other ones are here solely for reference and to show the cheaper options of this trainer type, as usually they are priced from £85-105 (the popular/nicer looking ones obvs). These two are 'just ok.'
Finally the Air Max's have more bulk to them which could be seen as a negative when coupled with some outfit options, whereas the women's training shoe can be viewed in an elegant and versatile light, when worn with leggings or a skirt say. The air Max's have more b*llucks so would have to be part of a power outfit instead of a summer's day ensemble if you get me.
Prices are dissimilar for both, the word 'stylish' is highly applicable to both, the toss up is between: statement, bold, solid, iconic, classic or dainty, versatile, feminine, foot hugging, agile.
