Poem - 'I hate you'

This is more like a #throwback moment and it's also a very deep one. I wrote this poem in the heat of the moment a while back, whilst indulging in my emotions. A good friend of mine once quoted 'we're pretty lucky to feel such strong emotions while we're young. Everything is so real and raw for the first time...we become thick-skinned and resistant with age. It's quite sad how with time, we feel less, shrug it off. So really, I think we're lucky to feel this much right now.'

I love writing poetry – it comes really easily and I've noticed that sharing it is also fairly liberating. It leaves the writer vulnerable to learn more about themselves and the audience intrigued/puzzled/quizzical/affected. The latter is what I love most – touching people with my work, without inserting any faces in to the context. The 'moment' is for you guys also...

I hope you all have a lovely bank holiday weekend and you take some time to reflect on experiences that have made you. Make time to delve inwards and then look again outwards.
