LFWe working with MuuBaa

So I was lucky enough to work at London Fashion Weekend at Somerset House this fine Friday the 20th. From 11am-7pm, I was working for my new friend Georgia's dad's company 'MuuBaa.' Their leather is exquisite and high-end and long-lasting and just UHH YUMM! Basically I adored their shoulder-detailed, black, leather jacket staple, it was luscious. Their range is full of sheep skin and beaut leather. I met Georgia at the Piccadilly pop-up store when I was working for Pocket London the week before. She was across from us in the warehouse-esque space representing Muubaa all week. She so cute!

The day was constantly busy with three of us manning the East wing section: Georgia, myself and Georgia's friend Alice. It was super busy most the day, with plentiful gorg females meandering about the place- lots of long legs, heels, yoga pant- chelsea boot combos, fur-laden tourists, oriental, fresh-faced beauties and buzzing staff members whizzing about the place. Can't believe how packed our space got in comparison to the pop up stores I had been in this summer..dot dot dot.

As a staff member we got in all day free with a neck pass and were able to wander around when we had the chance. The layout was an outer concentric ring of spaces within the building, circulating the inner open space courtyard that had a big black swanky tent in...a special lounge of some sort and other  modelly things. An extremely tall, strong-jawed, caramel skinned model stood outside it at one point on a cigarette break complete with parka, whilst I passed in awe of her height and limb-iness.

The day was airy, light and sunny, the atmosphere was being enjoyed and there were free Bueno bars and massages upstairs! WOO! dream relaxation parlour. Also for lunch Tom's Deli (humble, gourmet, fresh niceness) gave us free baps. Parma ham, sun dried tomatoes and rocket on olive bread with a pesto spread...THE best round sandwich ever, and it seemed to last about 4 years when I was eating it. Surprisingly filling.

Overall the day went so fast, there was a lot of interest in this brand and we made a killing, a good couple of thou plus. Much of the staff said it wasn't as packed as Thursday, but we were selling items like freshly baked cookies. Alice and I= Team after Georgia had to depart mid afternoon! Ooo and we got to pick from a selection of stock for the day's help, so I chose this deep, large, full leather, black shoulder bag, that had an interchangeable (chocolate brown swapped from black) strap style from normal to backpack. It was detailed with a textured, rustic leather (so not polished, perfect and clean; the type that has a bit more wear and attitude), heavy-duty aesthetic, worn screws and a feature padlock on. It's the perfect day time bag to go with anything that incorporates a little bitta black and I reaaalllyy needed just a staple black bag, so I was over the moon. That grungey but very well made, spacious staple, with a hidden internal drawstring central compartment mmmm.
