Hi boys and gals. It comes as no surprise that once again I include the above-mentioned genres in my music list. More often than not, nowadays I am drawn to anything that has a minor chord-based sound, is electronic-laden and has an addictive beat, so the majority of these tracks (bar classical) have a place here based on their contemporary production talents. On the whole, this post is composed of a darker, punchier, more solemn theme. The slower tracks have that tendency to aid those 'moments of reflection' but all in all, this lot have been satisfying my cravings for 'downtime' one minute, and hyper-upbeat dance, grinding sh*t the next.
Within this entry, instead of posting separate genres, I have compiled some conflicting songs and styles within a compilation in order to start categorising (by calendar) my listening habits. This way, I can track what I matched to the moods that occurred across different months. It's all part of a plan...nah not really, but insightful (in hindsight) for personal taste progression and the intra-track comparison of why each one struck a chord with me at a certain time.
My highlights: I like the deep, bassy suffocation of 'Papi Pacify' by FKATwigs- a new artist obsession of mine- and the bouncy, repetition of Ten Walls's track, with its swarming, Moby sound backing sample.

THE DANCE SECTION: Get ready for beats...
Early this month I saw this kid live in KOKO, north London. Ideal venue; every floor was undulating with a mass of bodies and grinding. Kaytranada was so good, and his stage posse were quite adorable/entertaining as well (by adorable I mean they 'went for it' and spritely sprung about the stage with big energy, Wooting and hip thrusting occasionally). If you fancied getting sweaty, being surrounded people who could definitely dance, and having a couple'a rooftop vodka lemonades on a sunny London weekday, this would have been perfect for ya. Peace for now.
