So I recently discovered this track whilst working in the main room and my siblings were watching 'Youngers' the Channel 4 urban, youth programme airing right now in these early summer evenings. This track was backing a rather rambunctious scene and as aimlessly as I was absorbing the actual narrative, I remarkably perked up when hearing this. Enter Shazam!
I pronounce it- most accurately I must admit- a Labrinth/Tinie Tempah, old release Lupe Fiasco lovechild of a song. It's dark, dancy, high energy chart- the type of track that will soon overpower mainstream clubbing, but for now we can enjoy it for a while before we get aggy with it.
Similar Labrinth tracks include: Sundown, Earthquake, Sweet Riot and Treatment. Lupe resemblances include: Streets On Fire and for Tinie Teenie it's: Pass Out, Frisky.
Christ I do miss those days when this era of music drowned my late teen/turning twenty social occasions, and too many spirits were mixed at parties, but I didn't care because I was bossing A levels and bossing growing up. Yes anyway...Check it, don't wreck it too much, I can imagine it getting rather overbearing and irritating with its heavy tune.
