It’s been a while since I have asserted my cyber voice for a while re: the music scene; busy tings with masters and all that jazz. I do miss my incessant posting and feeding my curiosity on the regular, which doesn’t involve the deeper topics/ topics relating to society/economics. Grabbing a bit of culture and relief from it with this entry... As a quick check in I wanted to make a playlist- or more a stream of song recommendations probably- as it’s not yet about/ didn’t really get time to, orchestrate a holistic composition.
Within this lump of random goodness it’s mainly dance/house/alternative/electro, with some old and new school thrown in and hip hop/80s references. Don’t be perturbed by my opening genre list; it isn’t as pretentious as it sounds and these tracks do in fact have a song structure that isn’t purely an ongoing repetitive beat for 8 plus minutes… Several are really good remixes of songs you most probably will have heard and most of them evoke an ambience - that’s how I select my music anyway, more often than lyrically. Versatile for various occasions, activities and human moods….? TICK. Probs best at a pre-lash though.
