I don't think I've ever got more excited or have been more touched by rap music (as lame as that may sound). This was discovered whilst sifting through tumblr illustrations and one blogger (martymcflyshit) had a wikiplayer feature, with 'Charlie Brown' as the initial listening experience. The playlist was more engaging than the visual content, 'a mon avis,' but I'm not a hater.
Usually I am an alternative/dance/electronica kinda gal, but this track by Scienze is delicate, sophisticated and spirited. The cartoon vocal snippets give it a youthful, refreshing edge and some welcomed audio variety. It's unique. You can't beat that crisp, authentic originality of old school rap/hip hop either; it's just something that's engrained into music from that era. One of my favourite features is the spritely piano trills...I'm a sucker for piano trills in rap. It changes the whole serious demeanour of the genre, allowing you to relax and enjoy it, rather than being persuaded to absorb the lyrics.
The tempo is another thing that's got me likin' this 'ting.' Again it's inviting and not forceful at all, like angry rap can be. It's got production qualities. This is day time rap. This is mastered rap.
